We offer a tailored service through all work stages from briefing and concept design through to handing over the keys at completion. Our ethos is to create grounded and contextual designs with an emphasis on practical spaces and we aim to make the journey of rennovting and extending a home an enjoyable one.

The list below captures services we typically fulfill;

Stages 0-2: Concept design - Planning 

The initial stages of any project involves a consultation where we aim to understand the specifics of a project such as aspirations and budget. Upon instruction we will survey the property and start to design the project. We regularly meet with clients to discuss the design evolution and ideas, and create personalised sketches upon request to help them visualise the proposed space. Once the design is settled we then submit the relevant application to the council if it is required. 

 

Stages 3-4: Detail design to Tender

The next stage of a project is to develop the design in detail. We work closely with clients to align the developing design with a clients cost and quality aspirations. This stage also typically involves coordination with a structural engineer, which we can organise and manage. Once the design is developed to a sufficient level we will prepare and submit a building regulations application to the local council and respond to any queries they may have. This application will include a full set of structural and detailed drawings that a contractor will use to produce the clients project. 

Dependant on the scale of a project a builder may need additional information to prepare an accurate cost. We will prepare any additional information they require and can also manage the process of tendering to a number of builders which we can suggest. 

 

Stage 5: The build

The most exciting phase of a project is starting on site where you can see the culmination of our ideas and design forming into a physical project. We will prepare the construction information, if the clients aspirations of finish require addition information beyond the tender package provided to the builder. Once on site we can offer a tailored project management service dependant on the complexity of the design.
